My 18 year old son was involved in a vehicle accident in October of 2024. He was flown to a trauma center where my wife and I were told that the only option to save his life was to amputate his left leg at the point of his knee(transfemoral). Our lives were forever changed that day. The hospital set us up with Kenney orthopedics to begin the prosthetic journey. Through many avenues we were able to have 3 amputees come and visit my son while he was still in the hospital. One of them had been an amputee for 35 years. This man told us that he has been through multiple prosthetic companies but it was not until he met Matt that he finally found his perfect fit. I trusted this man and obviously wanted the best for my son. We let Kenney (Hanger) know we were going to go with the Indiana Institute for Prosthetics. From the moment we met Matt we knew we made a the best choice. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his craft. He also treated my son as if he were his own. Matt makes you feel like he is your long lost uncle that comes to make your dreams come true. My son quickly began walking with the amazing work Matt has done. He has no pain and there is never any friction or sores developed. Matt takes his time with his patients. He educates the entire family and fully explains all options. From day one we were treated like family. No talk about insurance, not even a paper signed until we received our first official leg last month. If you are looking to begin your prosthetic journey or are tired of an uncomfortable fit you have currently. Look no further. Matt has to be the best in the nation, if not in the world. He stays current with the latest products and produces his own designs with no limitations. He is an inventor and we don't know what we would have done, or where we would be right now had we not chose Matt.
